About Atlas
Created by a UCI graduate who will attend medical school in 2027.
Atlas was made to increase access to quality MCAT and pre-health preparation. Its philosophy is that understanding beats memorization: each lesson explains why things work the way they do, then asks you to use that reasoning on problems and passages, so that what you learn carries over to questions you have never seen. This is the second iteration of the project: the first version lived on a Google Site, and this one rebuilds the lessons around a connected course map and adds a practice bank covering all four MCAT sections. The name comes from anatomy. The atlas is the first cervical vertebra, C1, the bone that supports the skull, and this resource is designed in the same spirit: to support future health professionals as they make the transition into graduate and specialized health fields.
How Atlas is made
The lessons and practice sets were drafted with AI assistance (ChatGPT and Claude), guided by the author’s framework of conceptual dependencies. The flashcards were created with ChatGPT’s help. The Pre-Med guides and videos are the author’s own. This content is intended purely as an educational tool for pre-health support, and it will remain free and accessible. Check anything important against your textbook and official sources.
